Poor Laura

Laura was forced to spend the weekend with her Grammy and Granddad while Mommy and Daddy went away for a weekend. She got to eat all the sugary foods she wanted. She didn't have to take naps. She got to take lots of walks without sunscreen. She got to torment Tribbles without being told, "NO!" Poor baby.

In the car tonight, on the way home (genius blossoms in the car, apparently), we were playing a game. She was saying "Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah, bah!" So, I started saying words that are familiar to Laura, emphasizing the B. Ball, Book, Bear, Balloon, Bath, BaBy, etc. Suddenly, she began pointing at her shirt. At first I thought she was going to sign "please," but then I noticed that she was searching for... buttons. She found them and kept tapping them and saying "buh, buh, buh." Yep, my daughter knew the word "button" began with B, just like all those other words.
