Zoo Tornado

The kids are playing a game wherein a tornado hit a zoo and scattered the animals all over the place. They're returning all of the animals to their cages. The most common animals are the dirty clothes animals. But the shoe animals seems to have multiplied during the tornado. While the book animals and toy animals seem to have all been killed or have run away. 

Really, I don't care what game they make up to clean their room as long as it gets cleaned. But this may be the oddest clean up game ever. 

Genius

 Frog: I want Bug to come play with me!

A: But she wants to take a nap. Play with Monkey.

Frog: But I want to play school, and he's not smart enough. See: Monkey, what's one plus two?

Monkey: (thinks for a second) Three. 

A: Haha. It sounds to me like he can play school with you.

Frog: What's four plus four?

Monkey: Four, six, four, six.

Frog: See?

A: Bug doesn't get all of the questions right all the time either. And neither do you at school. You have to TEACH him first. 

Frog: I just want her to come play with me.

A: Play school with Monkey, or pick another game. Bug needs a nap. 

High aspirations

I'm not entirely sure what the girls are pretending today. But here's a snippet of conversation I heard while walking past their room:

LF: Do you know about rockets?

LB: Yeah.

LF: Can we go in one?

LB: Sure!

Pretend

L: One plus two is three. Four plus five is six. 

K: No. Four plus five is not six. Count them. Four on this hand, five on this hand, how many total?

L: Nine.

K: Yes.

L: Just for pretend!

K: No. Don't pretend bad math. That's not good. You can pretend to be a doctor, but don't pretend four and five make six. That'll cause problems.

Man, my daughters have some weird conversations when they are pretending...

Laura is "teaching school" to Karen and Cinderella Barbie.

Laura is very good at making friends with total strangers and then leading them into battle against "My dister, da monster!" Poor Karen.

Muahahaha! David is already being pressed into service as a prince!

L: I Stwabewwy Shote Cake! KJ: I Dowa!

The girls made me "pancake, blueberries, and tea" for breakfast.

Kids @ Crossover were playing restaurant. Laura was the customer & ordered grapes&strawberries for herself and chicken&milk for her baby.

L and KJ were playing with the princesses. KJ was doing a great job "speaking" for each of them.
