Stop the Presses!!

Little Monkey does not want his green monkey blanket. He wants a silky blanket. Oh, wait AND his monkey blanket, now that he has a silky. Never mind. Resume the presses.

On a side note, I just realized that my kids are being raised in a world where "Stop the presses!" means absolutely nothing. Publish now; we'll write up this new article and publish it in ten minutes...

It's getting smaller.

When I put Laura down for nap today, I spread her "silky" over her. She's loved this blanket for over six years now. It is the blanket she wants to hold, even when she has a nice, new quilt to keep her warm.

Today, she said, "Mommy, my silky is getting smaller. It doesn't cover my feet anymore."

My thought was, "No, my baby is getting bigger. The blanket hasn't shrunk." But all I said was, "I know, Sweetpea. That's why we bought you the princess quilt"
