Words of advice
Little Frog encouraging her siblings to pick up the messy bedroom: Be strong. Be beautiful. Be wise. Do the motions with me. Be strong. Be beautiful. Be wise.

LPGA 2016
Keith was given a week-long pass from one of our friends who works the LPGA Tour when it comes to Northwest Arkansas. He was able to take each of the kids for a day to play in the KidZone and watch some incredible women golfers.
Frog spent the most time, following Daddy (and Stacey Lewis) all over the course. LadyBug had a lot of fun in the KidZone playing. Monkey enjoyed the ice cream afterwards the most.

Introducing: Little Turtle!
The kids finally got to meet their first cousin, Little Turtle for the first time yesterday. They all declared her "good." And then LadyBug carried around her baby doll, renamed after her cousin, for the rest of the day.

Lego Destructions
Anyone who knows the Wigginses will not be shocked by the fact that Keith likes to follow the instructions to build what those pieces were intended to build. While Adriel likes to use her imagination and build something new.
So watching our kids play with their first Lego sets (yeah, yeah, I know. They should have had Legos ages ago) is very interesting. Frog says, "Where are the destructions? I need the destructions!" LadyBug says, "No, we can figure it out." And Monkey just starts putting things together in whichever way he wants. This is a perfect summation of their personalities.

Whoa, Sundae!
Not only did Frog catch her first fish yesterday, but she went on a concert/dessert date with Daddy. She had her very first banana split. She was quite thrilled by it.

Mixed Up
My kids... ::facepalm:: They got their clothes piles mixed up this morning. Frog (size 10) put on LadyBug's pants and shirt. LadyBug (size 6-7) put on Monkey's pants and Frog's shirt. Monkey (size 5) put on Frog's shorts and his shirt. Frog's shorts looked like saggy pants on him. The girls both had high waters.
And they were dead serious. I had to tell them they were all in the wrong size.

Zoo Tornado
The kids are playing a game wherein a tornado hit a zoo and scattered the animals all over the place. They're returning all of the animals to their cages. The most common animals are the dirty clothes animals. But the shoe animals seems to have multiplied during the tornado. While the book animals and toy animals seem to have all been killed or have run away.
Really, I don't care what game they make up to clean their room as long as it gets cleaned. But this may be the oddest clean up game ever.

A true hero
If you only knew about super heroes from what my kids say, then you'd think Cat Woman's greatest weapon is her bad breath.

Aspirations
My kids are playing "Sonic." This is where they pretend to be skating carhops. This despite the fact that they've never seen a real carhop skate. They've only seen the recruiting posters with carhops with skate-shod feet. But they're doing excellent "skate" shows between asking me if I want tater tots with my owl cake.

Ariel and the Big News by Laura Wiggins
*****
Once upon a time there were a new baby born! It was Ariel! She was so cute! All the people came to see it! Every merman and mermaids came to see it! But one people did not come to see it! It was the Octopus! She was a bad guy! She did not like Ariel! One day when her mom was teaching all the mermaids and mermens, Octopus got her and put her octopus
jail! She could not get out! Time pass and Ariel grew up! The Dad forgot about the Mom! Ariel was beautiful in her own way! They live in a small house in the ocean! She loved looking around! She loved her Dad too! One day she went far away in the deep blue sea! She found a comb, but she didn't know what it was! And she found a smoking thing but she didn't know what that was either! So she went to a seagull to find
out! So she went! She found the seagull in a rock! Hi, Scuttle! She said, "How are you doing today?" "I am doing great," he said. "What's the problem?"
"We don't know
"Hmmm, I know. This is a fork," he said. But it's really a comb; that's what we think! "And this is a musical instrument," he said. But that's really a smoking thing; that's what we think.
And off she went to tell her dad! She went home to tell her dad! He was mad! "I don't like when you touch human stuff!" he said to Ariel.
Ariel said, "I am sorry," she said.
But she still went to a person this time! She saw a man laying on sand! It was the prince! He was kind too! Just like her! She said, "Hi, Prince!"
He said, "Hi, mermaid!" And he went to the castle! She went to home right away!
One day when she was about to grab her breakfast, Dad said she had news. She was excited! Dad said, "We were going to be at a castle!"
She said, "Hip hip hip hooray!"
The end.

Theology of an eight year old
Frog: I have a big, big, big circle. Bigger than everything but God because nothing is bigger than God. It's a pizza. I'm going to eat my piece. Yum, yum, yum. Are you done with your piece, God? He said His piece is more than enough. He is giving some to us. But, God! I'm full! I had enough. Oh, He's giving me more anyway because He loves me.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is grace.

This morning at church, Frog sang a solo with the adult choir.

Keith and I were both so proud that we cried and couldn't sing our part.

Tura Lura Lura
Last night, Aunt Z told me about a time several years ago that she sang a lullaby to my girls. As she sang "Tura lura lura, Tura lura, lural," the girls asked her, "What about Karen?" So, she sang "Tura kara Karen, Tura kara Karen." Of course, when Z told me this last night, we had to look up what "Tura lura lura" meant. Since it's just random rhyming syllables, we decided that "Tura kara Karen" is an appropriate change.
