Today I taught Laura how to clean the fridge. I figure if she does it with me three or four times a year, she'll be able to do it by herself by the time she's seven. If you've been following the blog and you've ever heard me say what I hate about housecleaning, you'll realize that besides the every day stuff (making bed, picking up room, load of laundry, dishes, wipe down bathroom), I've been teaching Laura all the "wet works" chores (everything that requires that you get your hands wet and nasty). This is because I hate wet works chores. I much rather dust, organize, vacuum, etc. than clean out anything nasty. But that's what children are for, right?
