The Hero

This week, Awana started with Cowboy Night. Monkey came home with a mask painted on. 

I asked him if he were a train robber, and he said, "No, me hero!" 

Then, Thursday night, the kids and I curled up in my bed and watched Captain America. This has happened every day since then:

All of the conversations about protecting people have finally clicked with him. Just because Chris Evans protected the soldiers. He's always loved super heroes, but for some reason, this week what that means seemed to click.
