Bath time?
When I drew a bath for Little Monkey today, he went and got his swim suit, and then asked Daddy where his swim suit was. They both ended up in the bath in their trunks, playing happily. Our next house, we need a bigger bath tub.

A heart for orphans
For those of you who are Little Frog's teachers or have been around her when she prayed lately, she's currently praying for something that sounds...odd. So, I thought I'd explain.
Several years ago, when talking about what Bibi and Babu do, we mentioned orphans. This led to an extensive discussion about what an orphan is, and how they need us to be Christ in their world and love them for Christ. (Specifically by providing for their physical needs.) As we've been discussing this on and off for a couple of years now, Little Frog has developed a real heart for orphan care.
At the end of 2014, Keith and I sat down and had a very serious financial discussion. We decided we have to get out from under Wiggins Wheels debt this year so that we can be free to be involved in every ministry we'd like to be involved in. Which means that for the last month, our kids have been hearing, "I'm sorry. We can't afford that" a lot.
It didn't take Little Frog too long to figure out that not only do we not have the money for random toys or restaurant trips, but we might not have the money to visit Bibi and Babu in Tanzania this Christmas, like we've been planning for a while. This is breaking her heart because she's been bound and determined to go to Africa and tell all the orphans about Jesus and feed them all for several months now.
So, when you hear Little Frog pray for the money for Africa for the orphans, that's what it is. She wants the Lord to plop $15,000 into our laps so that we can go feed orphans. This makes me inordinately proud and sad.

Secrets
Little Monkey crawled into my lap tonight and whispered in my ear. He kissed it first then barely breathed "luh oo." My favorite secret in the whole world.

Melt my heart
Little Bug, my adorable, introverted, Momma's girl just said, "Mommy my BFF." She got the terminology from Little Frog, but the love is all her own.

Be still, my heart
Little Frog is playing on the iPad today. And I got this email. She figured out not only how to draw me a wonderful picture, but then email it to me.

Sisterly Care
Monkey's runny nose turned into a minor infection, despite my best efforts. He ran a fever Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. As soon as Little Bug got out of class Wednesday, we headed home and locked ourselves away for the rest of the day. The two of them napped in my bed with me. Then, when they woke up, they didn't move, but rather just turned on the iPad and played games together. They kept playing with their outside hands, while holding the hands between them. But every time I tried to get a picture of this, they'd need all four hands to accomplish something on the screen.
I finally put them to bed in their own beds, which neither was too happy about. When they woke up this morning, they both came straight back to Mommy's bed and cuddled some more. This time, they played tickling games, hide and seek games (with the blankets thrown over their faces), and goofy faces games. Monkey is obviously feeling much better. It's probably because his big sister has been taking care of him.
At one point, he just lay down on her chest and didn't move. Bug asked, "Why he huggin me?" To which he immediately sat up, looked at her like he'd had no idea she was there, and then yelled some nonsense and crawled away. Poor girl. Someday she'll learn that the number one rule to ensuring your brothers continue to hug you is to not say a word about the fact that they are.

How to buy Little Frog's love:
A teen we love came over to help the girls clean their room today. After putting away all of the toys, they started organizing the bookshelf. At which point, Frog said, "You're such a good best friend."
She may have heard her mother say that to Tori's mother a time or two. Maybe.

I won't say I miss my mommy, but...
Laura: I don't want Mommy to dive the Awana bus tonight.
Keith: Well, what about all of those kids? How would they get home?
Laura: I want them all to have cars.
Keith: Loophole...
